The June meeting will feature two speakers. Linda Bangert was scheduled to speak in March, but her presentation titled “The Ninety-Nines, Inc. International Organization of Women Pilots and the History of Women in Aviation and Space” was postponed until this month. Linda Bangert retired from NASA-Langley after 37 years of research and project management in propulsion integration, thrust-vectoring and reversing nozzles, supersonic high lift systems, low sonic boom aerodynamics, and reducing take-off and landing noise for subsonic aircraft. In retirement, she and her husband travel, and she is active in AIAA, The Ninety-Nines, The Poquoson Woman’s Club, and the Friends of the Poquoson Library. She holds a private pilot license, but is no longer current.
Our second speaker will be Chief Gary Bright from the NASA Langley Office of Protective Services. Chief Bright will discuss security policies at Langley.
