Hello LAA Members — The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is requesting LAA volunteer mentors and judges to help with the Virginia Earth Systems Science Scholars (VESSS) and Virginia Aerospace Science & Technology Scholars (VASTS) summer programs.
There are multiple dates in the June and July timeframe (see below dates and times) to volunteer! We hope you will consider helping these very important student programs!
Volunteers are asked to please fill out the Microsoft form by 6/15/25: VESSS and VASTS Volunteer Opportunities Summer 2025
VESSS Opportunities:
Mentoring – July 7 & July 21
Time: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Judging – July 10 & July 24
Time: 12:15 pm – 2:15 pm
VASTS Mentoring Opportunities:
June 23 through 26; July 14 through 17; and July 28 through July 31
Time: Drop-in anytime between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
