Langley Youth Day Event:
Date: August 14th
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m {Note: Entire Youth Day event is 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.}
Place: NASA Gym
Volunteer Activity: NASA Langley is asking for interested current and former Langley employees to volunteer during an exhibit in the STEM Zone. This would involve having a hands-on activity or demonstration to share your work at Langley Research Center with employees and their children.
If an LAA member would like to volunteer at this event, they can bring a hands-on activity or Langley’s OSTEM office, can help them find an activity to highlight the work they did for NASA. For example, Dave Schuster, has used our Peeps Under Pressure kit to highlight his NASA knowledge in the past, but he also has several items of his own that he brings along. Once the OSTEM office knows who is coming and who needs a related activity, Chelsea can start the process of finding ones that match.
Thank you very much for considering to volunteer for this activity that can inspire our next generation of wonderers!
